Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.” |

Another article by a journalist saying that a few journalists are as dishonest as a few of our politicians. What a surprise.

The article makes several good points. Peter Fitzgerald is a non partisan prosecutor who has gone after high ranking officials of both parties. The fact he said there is nothing in his investigation to implicate Obama in any wrongdoing should be enough to end the guilt by association and innuendo. To say that Obama dragged his feet by calling for Blago’s resignation the next day is laughable. If evidence linking Obama or his staff to Blago’s selling of the Senate seat, then fine. Go after them. Until then, it’s irresponsible to call this a crisis for Obama. So much for the “liberal” media.

I tend to agree with John Kass, as he seems as knowledgeable about Chicago’s sleazy politics as anyone.
On his radio show, Bill O’Reilly asked Chicago Tribune columnist John Kass if it is even possible for Obama to have existed in Chicago without being dishonest, leading Kass to reply: “Yes, that is possible. It’s also possible that he was found as an infant in a reed basket floating in the Chicago River.”
As the saying goes: “When you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas”
Lots of fleas, and big, blood-sucking ticks, like Blagojevich.

Speaking of the liberal media, why didn’t they cover this?
“Alaska issues new ‘troopergate’ report, exonerating Palin”
http://www.centredaily.com/505/story/941295.html
I guess the MSM being shown that it is biased isn’t news.

“If you vote for Barack Obama, another white church will burn”
No, I don’t believe this is true, but I just wanted to illustrate how idiotic and racially biased the “black churches burning” commercials that were run against Pres. Bush really were.

Yep. The Clinton’s were as pure as the wind driven snow and Obama is actually the Lord Christ reincarnate. Chicago is the new Bethlehem. Rahm Emanuel is one of the wise men bearing gifts. Alleluia! I see the light!

It appears thos commercials turned out to be unnecessary after all. Bush simply allowed New Orleans to drown while he went off to Arizona to attend McCain’s birthday party. You did a heckuva job, Bushie!

Orlando. Now that the Messiah is going to be President, I’m pretty certain we won’t have any hurricanes, earthquakes or tornado’s. But if they do occur, using your imbecilic rational, we can blame him. Thanks. I can play the stupid card now too. If ya can’t beat em, join them!

Orlando, You usually have some good points, but Bush allowed N.O. to drown.. Lay off the homemade hooch!

David:
An apostrophe s ( ’s ) DOESN’T make things plural. It makes them possessive. I am not normally a grammar nazi, but that one grates on me, as I see it all the time. With regards to your last post, I think we’ll still get hurricanes, earthquakes and tornadoes, however the government response will be more competent because the head of the Arabian Horse Breeder Association won’t be running FEMA. In case you weren’t aware, that somehow qualified Brownie to head FEMA.
