Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.”

Yipes! A Republican ad with which I agree!

Agreed! I love how now that polling is telling the Illinois Dems that they might very well lose a special election, they suddenly say we “cannot afford” the election.

Serious question here. When have the majority of Illinois Congressional Democrats ever been THAT focused on what we cannot afford?” The Dems have run this state solidly since at least the beginning of Blago’s first term, and worries about the budget have never been their primary concern. This is proven by our current fiscal status.

Be honest. Push the Chicago Democratic Machine to the side, and let the people choose. If they vote Republican, so be it. If they vote Democrat, so be it. At least they get their say.

Of course the media wants a special election. They’re already making advertising dollars from just the issue.

So dudessabides is against a special election because he figures it’s just a plot by the media to make money.

I did not say the media “plotted” anything. I just pointed out that a special election would help the media with ad dollars that would not make media folks unhappy. But now that you mention it……
