Blago: “Certain I will be vindicated”
December 19th, 2008 at 02:21pm Pat Cunningham
Last weekend, I predicted that Rod Blagojevich would resign sometime this week. I was wrong.
The Illinois governor DECLARED his innocence this afternoon and vowed to remain in office and fight the allegations against him.

Pat,
Not only were you wrong that he will resign…he won’t. Nor will the Democrats impeach him. It won’t happen.
Obama, after he takes office, will assemble all the state dem leaders and announce that he and his committe have selected ‘x’ as the next state Senator, and that the govenor has agreed to sign off on his slection. This selection will be ‘above reproach and of high character, someone who will CHANGE and REFORM.
By the way. Blago was elected on CHANGE and REFORM. Obama was elected on the exact same platform of CHANGE and REFORM.
Democrats controll ALL legislative branch leadership positions and much of the judicial branch. Yet, we are a state neck deep in corruption…..yet we keep electing the same people to clean up the very corruption they create.
To top it off, there are so many citizens, much like you, that will defend them to the death, cite excuses of why they shouldn’t be held accountable, bog things down in procedure and protocol, etc., etc.! Crazy………

MDH: What are you smoking? You say that I’m inclined to defend Blago and Co. “to the death.” Wrong. When have I ever defended Blago? I’m in favor of his impeachment, and so is every liberal with whom I’m acquainted.
The stupidest of your comments is this one: “By the way. Blago was elected on CHANGE and REFORM. Obama was elected on the exact same platform of CHANGE and REFORM.” I guess you think that means that Obama is just like Blago. Nonsense. But, of course, arguments like that will play well among the mouthbreathers who made a big deal about Obama’s citizenship and all that Ayers and Wright crap. Those of us who walk upright know better.

MDH: One more thing: You would do well to read this piece about Blago’s lack of support among congressional Democrats from Illinois:

Blago: “Certain I will be vindicated”
Another quote that will go down in Democratic history, next to this imfamous pair: “I did not have sex with that woman, Ms. Lewinski”, and “It depends on what the definition of ‘is’, is.”
Fine company for our (bleeping) Governor.

Ho! Ho! Ho!
Now let’s talk about some equally infamous Republican quotes, shall we, snuss?
“We’ve found the weapons of mass destruction.”
“We will be greeted as liberators.”
“Osama bin Laden. Dead or alive.”
“Bring it on.”
The morals of the story:
Clinton lied, Hillary cried.
Bush lied, thousands died.
Clinton = Worldwide respect
Bush = Worldwide scorn and disdain (Shoes, anyone?)
Clinton = Record budget surpluses
Bush = Record budget deficits
Clinton = Rhodes scholar
Bush = C- poster boy
Clinton = WTC ‘93 bombers arrested and convicted
Bush = Osama who?
Clinton = Sultan of Success
Bush = Pharaoh of Failure
Do I really need to go on, snuss?
Didn’t think so.

So where has the “non-biased” media been? Looking at Illinois politcs-? the connections of Daley, Emanuel, Blago, Rezko, Obama? No. Probably still in Alaska investigating a “dirty” governor.

Illinois democrats are trying to hang all the corruption on Blagos shoulders. I think Blago is being scapegoated and actually applaud his fight. Good grief what am i saying…..The whole Illinois network makes Nixon look like an amateur.
