One of the highlights of Phil Spector’s legendary Christmas album, which was recorded 45 years ago and has long been a favorite of mine, is Darlene Love’s rendition of “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).”
For the past 18 years, Love has performed the song on David Letterman’s show. Her appearance of the other night is here:

Merry Christmas, Pat!
I like U2’s version of this song the best.

Another good video might be the Star Wars Christmas Special from 1978.

Letterman’s Christmas show is — no kidding — one of the best Christmas traditions around these days. You really get the feeling that Dave is putting on Darlene Love and having Jay Thomas knock the meatball off the Christmas tree just because he likes it, likes them, and wants them around at Christmas. And every year, Darlene sings the heck out of that song. No offense to Bono and company, but no one can touch her performance.
