Is racism a plus in bid for RNC chairmanship?

I mentioned HERE the other day the growing controversy over the use of a racist parody song in the contest for chairmanship of the Republican National Committee.
The LATEST DISPATCH from the battlefront suggests that candidate Chip Saltsman (above) might actually have benefitted from his bigoted gesture. (Don’t miss the part where an RNC member says GOPers who object to Saltsman’s racism are just “pandering to the national press.”)
Behold the further Southernization of the GOP!

The national press has had no problem with Joe Biden’s racist remarks over the years, in fact the Democratic Party considers him worthy of the highest office in the land with those comments in his past. But get out the pitchforks when it is a republican speaking about an Al Sharpton Parody which has some credibility when Jesse Jackson says he wants to cut off Obama’s Balls on open mic. Tell me what the difference is between this parody and the bashing Sarah Palin took on Saturday Night Live for being stupid? Everybody thought the SNL skit was great, including me, why so touchy on the Sharpton Parody? She can be called stupid with no repercussion when she was born with the intellectual capacity she has just like Sharpton was born with brown skin, try that on Sharpton and automatically it is because of skin color? BS, it is because there is truth to the parody that he is a user and Obama has swooped in and stole his thunder without the use of the race card. It would be comparable to anyone against Palin being an Alaskist. Ridiculous. The people (like Pat and the rest of his white media pals) who are so quick to play the race card on behalf of others are ruining the race card for people actually effected by discrimination in my opinion. If a colorblind society is the goal, then why keep bringing up color when it is not an issue? Reminds me of the white lawyers going to bat to remove the mascots from schools when a larger percentage of the Native American population polled had no issue with the use of the mascots in question. Where was the victim? Who won? White lawyers for the most part. Is that progress or is it rich white lawyers getting richer feeling better about themselves for helping those who can’t help themselves? Gag me with an ACLU Card.
Howard Dean (Pat’s DNC Chair) has a few choice comments on race of his own. How could Dean be elevated to that position with such “Southernist” comments? Was racism a plus for Biden as well as Dean in the DNC? Looks that way on the surface. Prez Bush on the other hand put in place a more diverse set of top advisers than any president historically, but I forgot, he is a Southernist Hick so that fact will be ignored by people like Pat. What exaclty will you blame the next bad governmental response to a natural disaster on when Obama is at the helm? Gear up, it is just a matter of time.

Here’s hoping liberals will try acquiring a sense of humor in 2009.
That, and investigating their own stories before calling people racists.
Paul Shanklin does a lot of funny parodies. The fact that the Barack, The Magic Negro parody is taking notice now is because the left was asleep at the wheel when it was first uttered by a black columnist.
