Barack Obama’s train trip to Washington for his presidential inauguration evokes, by design, a similar journey by Abraham Lincoln in 1861.
But, for me, it also brings to mind the slow funeral train that carried the remains of Robert F. Kennedy from New York to Washington on June 8, 1968.
I remember watching it live, and the emotions of that day come back to me as I view this deeply moving little video clip:

Former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, who wants to become chairman of the Republican National Committee, SAYS his party should oppose Barack Obama’s economic stimulus plan because…well, because it might work, which wouldn’t be good for the GOP.
