Caroline Kennedy has WITHDRAWN from consideration for appointment to Hillary Clinton’s vacant seat in the U.S. Senate.
New York Atty. Gen. Andrew Cuomo is said to be a leading candidate for the appointment.

Comparing the costs of Barack Obama’s inauguration with those of George W. Bush’s inauguration four years ago is an apples-and-oranges exercise.
Widely published figures for the Bush bash didn’t include the cost of security. But figures for the Obama doings did.

Chief Justice John Roberts screwed up President Obama’s oath of office, and some experts think a DO-OVER is in order.
UPDATE: “Out of an abundance of caution,” as a White House lawyer put it, Obama was sworn AGAIN this afternoon by Chief Justice Roberts.
