Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.”

A tale of Bush’s Keystone Kops

Wow, still going beat the Bush drum from the dailycrap. Nothing about Obama making exceptions for his own ethics rules.

Typical rich liberal move, you need sacrifice and give up for the common good, except for me. Took a page out of Al Gore’s book and all the other rich liberals.

DingDong: Next time try responding to the post. The issue you raise here has nothing to do with Gitmo.

I thought we are on to new issues but I guess that can not here. Pretty soon you will run out of Bush bashing will have to look internally at some point.

Wow, Ding Dong, I really enjoy watching you Cons coming unglued now that your failed conservative ideology is irrelevant and now that somebody who knows exactly what he is doing is occupying the Oval Office and starting to undo the sins of the pathetic Bush cabal, but it’s really not necessary for you to jump on this blog and parrot the same old tired GOP talking points currently being peddled on a daily basis by Limbaugh and Hannity. They contribute nothing to a meaningful discussion of the issues at hand.

Closing the detention center at Guantanamo Bay within a year will not be enough. Interestingly US mainstream media doesn’t report on this, but according to UN Special Rapporteur Nowak, Obama will have to prosecute G.W. Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld, as they have been involved in “legalizing” torture. Take a look at this German television report, which was aired just after inauguration. It does have optional english subtitles.

My apologies to DingDong. If he, or anyone else, wants to change the subject, that’s cool. I guess my negative reaction stemmed from DingDong having changed the subject right off the bat in Comment No. 1. But so what? Carry on.

—Pretty soon you will run out of Bush bashing —

This is not possible. And I want to say I really enjoy this blog and the comments. I read another article a week ago about the police and the next day the entire comment section was taken down because of some nasty posters, why not just removed the offending posts? The offending poseters were banned.
