Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.” |

“In a free country,” WARNS Steve Schmidt, “a political party cannot be viable in the long-term if it is seen as a sectarian party.”

Gail Collins POINTS OUT a passel of hypocrisies among Texas tea-partiers who want their state to secede from the Union.
Some of these people were heard last year to question Barack Obama’s love of country, and now they want to secede from it. Patriots? Hardly.
UPDATE: Incidentally, if Texas secedes before next year’s elections, Democrats will have a FILIBUSTER-PROOF MAJORITY in the U.S. Senate.
And it also would raise the average I.Q. of Americans.
So, hey! Go for it, Dudes!
