ABC/WaPo poll shows that only 1 in 5 Americans identify themselves as Republicans

 A new ABC/Washington Post poll puts President Obama’s approval rating at 69 percent, the highest level for any president at this point in 20 years.

 The survey also SHOWS that a majority of Americans now think the country is headed in the right direction and that only 21 percent identify themselves as Republicans.

 UPDATE: Meanwhile, it says HERE that “a rebellion is brewing” among the hard-core right-wingers who comprise the shrinking Republican base.
