Walter Pincus of The Washington Post, admitting that his is “a romantic and unfashionable view of journalism,” offers a SCATHING INDICTMENT of the American news media in general and newspapers in particular for “chasing the false idols of fame and fortune.”

Truth.
This is why the people have lost so much faith in journalists. Failure to hold our officials feet to the fire when it was most needed.

I find it rather hypocritical that Mr. Pincus failed to make even a casual reference to the obvious Leftist bias in the media. However, he had absolutely NO problem in blaming Republicans. I wonder if he bothered to consider the possibility that the public is not blind to such Liberally-slanted journalism, such as he just authored, and will no longer support it. That might explain the decline in circulation as much, if not more, than any other reason.
