Whatever shaky claim to dignity and self-respect Roland Burris might have maintained since assuming a seat in the U.S. Senate a few months ago is pretty much gone in light of THIS.

 When President Obama said a few weeks ago that he wanted a Supreme Court nominee who has “empathy,” every political loonie in America waxed apoplectic.
 But when then-President George H. W. Bush SAID 18 years ago that he had chosen Clarence Thomas for the high court because of his “great empathy,” nary a peep was heard from the right-wing guardians of constitutional purity.
 UPDATE: Speaking of goofy conservatives, THIS, too, is good for a few laughs.
