Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.” |

Ordinarily, Frank Rich’s column in The New York Times is the first thing I read on Sunday mornings.
Yesterday, however, I was somehow preoccupied and didn’t get around to reading Rich until just now.
I’m glad I didn’t miss it altogether. It’s a WORTHY PERSPECTIVE on the current wave of nuttiness among Obamaphobes.

UPDATE: Here’s a report on a pro-reform rally in Iran earlier today:
UPDATE II: Some American right-wingers seem to have been HOPING for Ahmadinejad to win the election, especially if it would somehow embarrass or frustrate Barack Obama.

America has spent $1 trillion in the War on Drugs, and what do we have to show for it?
Drugs are now more readily available, at lower prices and higher levels of potency.
Clearly, the effort has been a COLOSSAL FAILURE.
