Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.”

Sarah Palin’s whining in recent days about the media coverage and political criticism she’s received has had a peculiar ring of familiarity to it.

 Hmmmm. Let me see.

 Oh, yeah. Now I remember.

When Hillary Clinton made similar complaints last year about the treatment she was getting, Palin opined that “a statement like that coming from a woman candidate with any kind of perceived whine about that excess criticism or a sharper microscope put on her, I think, man, that doesn’t do us any good, women in politics, women in general wanting to progress this country.”

 There’s more about this HERE.

Fred Barnes of The Weekly Standard SAYS Sarah Palin’s  “super-abundance of charisma cannot make up for her shortcomings in experience and knowledge.”

UPDATE: Meanwhile, Ross Douthat, a conservative columnist for The New York Times, IMPLIES that the media elites wouldn’t pick on Palin if she were an Ivy League grad.

Perhaps the so-called pro-Obama leanings of the major television networks is due more to economic self-interest than to ideological bias.

The BOTTOM LINE is that Obama attracts more eyeballs.

Once again, the Obamaphobes have QUICKLY DROPPED what they initially considered a first-rate political scandal.

Each such misfire only makes it more likely that the next cry of alarm by the wingnuts will be ignored by the rest of us.

Global warming skeptics should not watch this video; it’ll only confuse them
