Right-wing extremist Randall Terry (above) SAYS “violent convulsions” might erupt among zealots of his ilk if Congress fails to exclude coverage of abortion services from pending health-care legislation.
Terry, founder of the anti-abortion group Operation Rescue, has never been subtle about his yen for a theocratic America. He once said:
“I want you to just let a wave of intolerance wash over you. I want you to let a wave of hatred wash over you. Yes, hate is good…. Our goal is a Christian nation. We have a Biblical duty, we are called by God, to conquer this country. We don’t want equal time. We don’t want pluralism.”

Here’s another variation on an argument I’ve been making here for months:
Bill Greener says he and his fellow Republicans “can do any number of things to try to change our fortunes. Until we come to grips with some fundamental math, however, the numbers simply do not add up to the GOP prevailing in a national election any time soon.”
