Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.”

Wow, with such erudite commentary, Olbermann may someday pass home shopping network for ratings in his time slot.

    This article says it all:

Floundering Olbermann Claims to Have Highest Ratings in Cable News

Shrill ultra-left propagandist Keith Olbermann has now declared that his pathetic Countdown program is the highest rated cable news show on TV. The facts tell a very different story, so Oderman gives them a violent twist:

I hate to intrude with the facts but ours is the highest rated cable news program viewers 35 and younger and the highest rated cable news program for all viewers not on Fixed News. And since Fixed News has since now migrated completely over to serving propaganda to tin foil hatters, conspiracy theorists, paranoids and racists it is not a news organization making this show the highest rated cable news program, period.

In short, news programs that don’t advance his psychotic worldview don’t count; therefore he has the highest ratings in the world — that is, in his world.

Meanwhile, back in everyone else’s world, Uberdouche is getting trounced by Glenn Beck, Shep Smith, Brett Baier, Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, and Greta Van Susteren even in the 35 and younger bracket — and for good reason. Who would trust a guy so obviously delusional to tell them what’s going on in the world?

SNuss and Illinoistom seem to think that TV ratings are the measure of truthfulness. If that’s the case, then I guess the evening newscasts on NBC, CBS and ABC, each of which has far greater ratings than anything on the Fox News Channel, are paragons of veracity. SNuss and Illinoistom must be big fans of Katie Couric, Charlie Gibson and Brian Wilson, because those folks draw many, many more viewers than do Hannity, Beck O’Reilly or any of the other ninnies at Fox.

A classic false argument, Pat. Comparing cable ratings to network ratings is like comparing the Register Star to The Washington Post based on circulation. We are comparing apples to apples.

Illinoistom: Why did Olbermann’s presidential candidate win in an electoral landslide last year, while Fox News’ candidate lost? Why did Democrats win control of both houses of Congress, when Fox News was so much against them? Ratings aside, it would seem that MSNBC is more in tune with the American political mainstream than Fox News. ‘Splain that, smarty-pants.

    Pat,
Lets not forget that Obama ran as a moderate. Something that he has shown that he is nothing of since being elected. People with the ability to comprehend his actions to date voted with their pocketbook
Not party line, tonight. They know that the power grab from the far left will do nothing but kill their way of life.
Like it or not Pat. The Lie is over. People who actually pay taxes are not as hip as you would want us to believe in paying those huge taxes for the socialist agenda. Don’t worry though. The entitlement grabbers will continue to have your back.

Pat, I just laid off half of my shop……do you have jobs for them??? After all the depression is over isn’t it? Maybe they could wash your bath robe or shine your shoes since you have 4 incomes.
