Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.” |

(Thought I’d repost this comment from earlier today since it was pushed off the front page and goes to the hypocrisy of most of Pat’s post from today. Pat, aren’t you concerned about MoveOn.org and DailyKos calling for a radical left wing overthrow of your beloved Democratic Party?)
What ever happened to the all inclusive and loving liberals who want to help the Republican party to be more succesful by being open to moderate candidates?
Did they forget the words to Kumbaya? I hope this puts a stop to all of Pat’s bloviating…..but it won’t, because hypocrisy is a drug man and it’s hard to kick.

MoveOn.org threatens Blue Dog Dems
by Michael Stone
Portland Progressive Examiner
November 3, 2009
In the politics of health care, MoveOn.org is playing hardball with Blue Dog Democrats. Yesterday MoveOn raised an astounding $2 million in less than 24 hours in support of a primary challenge against any Democratic senator who helps Republicans block an up-or-down vote on health care reform.
The amount of money pledged in such a short period of time indicates the profound level of commitment to health care reform by an army of progressives willing to put their money where their mouth is. Many are willing to support a challenge against anyone who blocks reform.
The amount sends a clear signal to the media, Senate leadership, and conservative Democrats. In addition, potential primary challengers will know there’s a huge group of Americans who are ready to help defeat anyone preventing health care from getting an up-or-down vote in the Senate.
MoveOn is right to place a target on the back of any member of the Democratic Caucus who keeps health care reform from getting an up-or-down vote. The Portland Progressive Examiner has advocated for similar tactics in an earlier post.

Richard - I’m unclear to what you’re trying to say. I can’t stand Joy Behar or Alan Grayson. Joy Behar is quickly becoming the Ann Coulter of the left, only Joy is much more stupid. Grayson is nothing more than a loud mouth blowhard that has yet to say anything worthy to people who are truly interested reforming this country into a better place. That includes Dems and Reps.
I can’t imagine that more intelligent liberals seriously like this guy. Sure he makes fun of Republicans. Great. Whoopi Goldbeg and Letterman can do that.
Heck, I have much more respect for Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow than I do Grayson and Behar. At least they occasionally offer thoughtful commentary. Let me know when Grayson engages in a serious discussion about anything.

This web site sums it up about Grayson.

Behar is an idiot, a Republican did not run. The fact remains, a real conservative, who was hardly know came close to winning. Even with his so called “far-right” agenda. Grayson, is in for rude awaking.
