Forget ACORN! Here’s some REAL election fraud!

The offenses alleged against ACORN by wingnuts at every turn are Mickey Mouse stuff compared to THIS.

Applesauce
Pat Cunningham offers an unabashedly liberal perspective on national politics. A note of caution: The language gets a litttle salty on some of the sites to which this blog links. So, don’t say you weren’t warned. By the way, this blog’s name is inspired by the Will Rogers quote, “All politics is applesauce.” |

More government corruption everywhere you turn … with all the people struggling to make ends meet and wondering where their next mortgage payment is coming from, you have people like this stealing tax payer money so they can keep their high profile jobs and good salaries. It makes me friggin sick

So by all means let’s investigate, prosecute and convict if guilty. There is plenty of this to go around in all parties, I’m sure. I can see Pat’s tongue sticking out, his fingers waving by his ears and him saying “nah nah nah nah nah nah.” So are you suggesting we actually “forget ACORN” and credible accusations of their systemic long term fraud? Or that this alleged GOP corruption somehow minimizes or justifies ACORN’s actions? How about a meaningful update on their criminal/congressional investigation?
Pat, I wish you could move beyond feeling like you somehow have to counterbalance rabid right wing bloggers by poaching and posting stuff from rabid left wingers. It’s just more of the same old party politics on both sides done at the expense of real and constructive action on behalf of the populace that pays for it all, including your compensation by the rrstar. I generally avoid reading your blog for this tiresome reason but was intrigued by your “forget ACORN” headline that perhaps unconsciously signals your feelings?? Man up and elevate the conversation.

Right on Emmett.
Since when is the Daily Kos a credible source on anything? The RRSTAR reveals it’s true leaning by even allowing such a citation. Have the journalists left completely? Rockford deserves better from it’s (sadly) only real newspaper. Time for RRTimes to step up from being a tabloid.

Has anyone read Pat’s discription of his blog. What about that don’t you understand?

I’m especially amused by Peter’s comment (No. 3), which suggests that news of the indictments at issue in this post is of doubtful accuracy because DailyKos, the source to which I linked, is not a “credible source” in Peter’s eyes. But what does Peter make of the fact that these same indictments were reported by virtually every news outlet in Pennsylvania? I guess they’re all liberally biased. I guess the journalists at all these news outlets have “left completely.”

During the election, all I heard from the FOX News types were complaints about ACORN (as if it mattered), Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright. They completely ignored the economy. Now that the election is over, they blame Obama for the economy. They need to leave the partisan echo chamber.

Hey Pat no big deal Lets looks at Mr. Sweet Deal From country Wide. Lets not forget your Gov. Didn’t a Demosh2t get set to the big house for 13 years on Friday or Today for all his issue and money in his freezer I don’t know how it got there.

Note I never excused the Repub’s actions in PA but rather said if they are guilty, then convict. Whoever does this kind of stuff needs to be caught and hung out. Shawnnews, it doesn’t matter that ACORN has shown everything from blatant bias to fraudulent behavior…using your/my tax money? Two wrongs make a right? And I’m not about blaming, but rather taking responsibility (for whatever cards are in your hand), calming down the rhetoric and taking real action that keeps this country great…that goes for both the Dems and the GOP. Anything else is all blow and no show.
And yes, I’ve read the description of Pat’s blog, but the first sentence should be slightly modified to read “Pat Cunningham offers other writers’ unabashedly liberal perspectives on national politics.” Nothing ever original or engaging here…sadly for the community. Just keep fanning the flames without a meaningful objective to make a difference. I will have to keep looking elsewhere for authentic progressiveness…

Here’s what I think: I think realfoxnews @ 7 ought to take better notes in his English as a Second Language class.

Emmett Brown: Sorry you find this blog so disappointing, but, hey, it’s just a part-time gig in my semi-retirement.
I beg to differ with your contention that there’s never anything original here. Granted, I mostly link to stuff I find interesting on other sites (as do most political blogs), but I also sometimes offer a few thumb-suckers of my own. If you don’t find them “engaging,” as you put it, well…what can I say?
Your implied pledge to shun this site in the future is just something I’ll have to live with. But it might interest you to know that traffic here is pretty heavy these days (if I say so myself). Page views are up to almost 50,000 a month, and the number of comments published in 22 months is approaching 20,000. So, I guess we’ll somehow survive without you.
By the way, you’re not the Emmett Brown of flux capacitor fame, are you? If so, are you visiting here from the past or the future?

Ram I like to be a 2nd class person on this blog, so that’s why, I write that way. That’s how Pat treats people who’s in the GOP.
12. Emmett Brown | November 14th, 2009 at 9:21 pm
Sorry, Pat. You are missing the point. You’ve never really addressed (I think intentionally, since you’re a smart guy) my original issue which was that your headline suggested a dismissive attitude toward the obvious misdeeds of ACORN financed by tax dollars. An attitude that seems justified by allegations against a Republican politician. That’s progressive? Same old tit for tat that typifies the blow hards on both sides of the aisle. And the only capacity for which I have flux is when the right and left fanatics stop shooting back and forth from the trenches and focus on constructive exchange instead of carving notches in their gun handles. Alas, I think my admonishment falls unheard onto the scorched earth of the DMZ…
