Too many seniors are suckers for anti-Obama urban legends

Snopes.com, the Internet’s most famous debunker of popular myths, keeps a list of what it calls the 25 Hottest Urban Legends, and lots of them are baseless rumors disparaging Barack Obama.
And it seems that my fellow senior citizens are among the most prolific traffickers in these anti-Obama myths, as we see in THIS REPORT on the phenomenon.
Mind you, I doubt that geezers are often the authors of the Obama urban legends, but they’re perhaps most likely to be sending them along to friends via e-mail, especially if it’s frightening stuff about how the president is scheming to destroy Christianity or some such nonsense.

Why bother with legends? The truth is scary enough.
