Remember the big CLIMATEGATE “scandal” of 2009?
Global-warming deniers everywhere were dancing in the streets with delight over what they considered to be good evidence that the pointy-headed scientists at those fancy universities had been lying about human-caused climate change.
Unfortunately for the flat-earthers, however, investigation after investigation has shown that there was nothing in the so-called scandal that disproved mainstream scientific theories regarding anthopogenic global warming.
And now the inspector general of the U.S. Department of Commerce is out with another investigative report on the matter. The verdict: Government scientists at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration did not manipulate climate change data.
This latest investigation, by the way, was conducted at the behest of Sen. James Inhofe (above), the Oklahoma Republican, who is perhaps the leading global-warming skeptic in all of Congress.

It occurred to me that that Inhofe and the Koch brothers, his bankrollers, are in their 60s and 70s.

I learned about global warming when I was in high school and college in my late teens. While they are at fault for having access to testimony from the best scientitsts in the field and are selecting to ignore them, I don’t know if they really could be sold on the idea anymore.
Scientists are not salesmen.
