How will Pat Robertson and John Hagee explain today’s earthquake near our nation’s capitol?

I don’t mean to make light of the earthquake that shook the Eastern United States this afternoon, especially since it seems to have CAUSED INJURIES. But I’m wondering if televangelists Pat Robertson and John Hagee will explain to their respective flocks exactly why God has visited such a phenomenon of nature on that region.

You see, Robertson and Hagee are both known for attributing disasters to heavenly displeasure with some kind of rampant immorality.

For example, just a few days after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001,  Robertson said he concurred with Jerry Falwell’s theory that the carnage was God’s punishment for sins of “the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way–all of them who have tried to secularize America.”

Four years later, Hagee explained Hurricane Katrina thusly:

“All hurricanes are acts of God, because God controls the heavens. I believe that New Orleans had a level of sin that was offensive to God, and they are — were recipients of the judgment of God for that. The newspaper carried the story in our local area that was not carried nationally that there was to be a homosexual parade there on the Monday that the Katrina came. And the promise of that parade was that it was going to reach a level of sexuality never demonstrated before in any of the other Gay Pride parades. So I believe that the judgment of God is a very real thing. I know that there are people who demur from that, but I believe that the Bible teaches that when you violate the law of God, that God brings punishment sometimes before the day of judgment. And I believe that the Hurricane Katrina was, in fact, the judgment of God against the city of New Orleans.”

So, when will these two men, both of whom claim to know the will of God, tell us why this large swath of our country has been subjected to this sudden shaking of the earth?

Is it a political message from Heaven?

UPDATE: According to the RIGHT-WING MEDIA, President Obama, who’s on vacation with his family this week, was either golfing or biking when the earthquake struck.

Either way, it’s all his fault (no pun), right?
