Behold the INCREDIBLE HYPROCISY of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell:
[According to McConnell], if Obama embraces proposals uncompromising Republicans like, then he’s being responsible. If he pushes an agenda Republicans reject, then the GOP-driven gridlock is his fault.
(Snip)
For two and a half years, President Obama has, in practically every instance, tried to govern in a mainstream way, with proposals that have traditionally enjoyed at least some support from both parties. Much of his base has been infuriated by this, but the Obama White House has made a concerted effort, first outlined in the 2008 campaign, to govern in a way that could garner support from responsible officials in both parties.
Republicans haven’t cared. Even when the president has embraced GOP ideas, he’s found Republicans are willing to reject their own proposals if Obama agrees with them.
Arguably the one person most responsible for the breakdown of the American political process is Mitch McConnell. Indeed, in several instances, he’s been quite candid about his anti-governing strategy.
The record is unambiguous.

Pat pat pat.
I see you studied at the school of propaganda with an emphasis on the tactic “tell a lie often enough and the public will believe it to be the truth”.
The term compromise means both parties give up something to get something they both want.
Obviously your, obama and liberals definition is “give us what we want or your not compromising”.
The cold hard truth is conservatives (be they republican or tea party) are not gonna give in to obamas plans, bills, ideas, whatever if they are not based on reality or will continue to hurt the public. For example…..
His stimulus plans have cost billions of dollars and increase in the national dept that in 3 years beat Bush’s debt incrase in 8. Oh before you state “stop getting yor facts from fox news this comes from the Goverment Accounting Office.
His “Obama care” increases not decreases national debt. Which by the way all polls (including main stream media) showed no one wanted.
There is no money for the Jobs bill.
So lets look at what obama “compromise” means.
Continue to spend money we don’t have.
Vote on bills without looking at them.
Go against what the voters want.
Do this “if you love me” childish speech. Please is this a president or a young child.
Overall Pat (as I imagine you are warming up your temper tanturm responce you usually give to anyone who “dares” to challenge liberals) you are the one who continures to try to convince anyone who will listen that its all the republicans/conservatives/tea party who is stopping us from getting out of this recession we are still in by not “compromising”.
The two truths you belittle, name call, deny, brow beat, yell over, ect. but cannot hide anymore is this.
1. The american people have voted in conservatives (weither tea party or republicans) over liberals to the extent you lost the house, the senate has a slim majority, and two democratic bastions (kennedy seat and that one in new york).
So its the will of the people/ have spoken. Unless its against liberals/obama then they have been decieved. O wait I am sorry pat that is what was gonna be in your replay..my bad.
2.Now listen closely….his own party the democrats dont want this bill and are not voting for it.
Truth hurts doesn’t it.
truth hurts: There’s no point in arguing with a right-wing nitwit whose command of the facts is typified by his ridiculous claim that “no one wanted” the health-care reform bill.
This is so typical of you wingnuts. You think that because you’re opposed to something, then everyone else also is opposed to it. Your fantasies in this respect are such, Mr. truth hurts, that you even believe that “all polls” showed that “no one wanted” the health bill.
Well, here’s a collection of opinions regarding the Republican plan to repeal that bill that “no one wanted”:
American Nurses Association:
“…[W]e believe that a vote for repeal would be a devastating step backward.”
American Medical Association:
“The AMA does not support initiatives to repeal the Affordable Care Act. Expanding health coverage, insurance market reforms, administrative simplifications and initiatives to promote wellness and prevention are key parts of the new law that reflect AMA priorities.”
American Academy of Family Physicians:
“A repeal of all provisions in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will return our health care system to its previous trends of unsustainable, increasing costs and ever-growing numbers of under- and uninsured Americans. It will have negative consequences on Americans’ access to needed health care for years to come.”
American College of Physicians:
“ACP believes that Congress should preserve and – as necessary – improve on these and other important reforms created by the Affordable Care Act, not repeal them.”
Association of American Medical Colleges:
“The nation’s medical schools and teaching hospitals stand behind the Affordable Care Act. Ensuring that all Americans have health care coverage is a moral imperative for our nation, and enactment of the Affordable Care Act was an important step toward that goal.”
National Association of Community Health Centers:
“From the perspective of community health, however, the new law moves our nation to the goal of more affordable and accessible health care for all people and we stand strongly in support of it.”
American Osteopathic Association:
“The Affordable Care Act made fundamental and important changes in our health care system that will improve the health of our patients individually and our nation as a whole.”
Catholic Health Association:
“On behalf of the Catholic Health Association of the United States (CHA), the national leadership organization of more than 2,000 Catholic health care systems, hospitals, long-term care facilities, sponsors, and related organizations, I strongly urge you to maintain support for efforts to improve and strengthen our nation’s health care system by opposing the legislation before the House to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA).”
American Public Health Association:
“Implementation of the Affordable Care Act is critical to addressing a number of the biggest challenges facing our health system including the escalating costs associated with our health care system, uneven quality and more than 100,000 deaths due to medical errors, discriminatory practices by health insurance providers and the shrinking ranks of the nation’s primary care providers. The enactment of the Affordable Care Act begins to shift our health system from one that focuses on treating the sick to one that focuses on keeping people healthy and addresses these challenges.”
Asian and Pacific Islander American Health Forum:
“Almost 60 percent of Asian Americans receive health care coverage through their employers and the last thing we should be doing is weakening the ability of small business owners to provide quality health care to their employees. We must not place the interests of insurance companies ahead of small businesses, our communities, and our families. When insurance companies are free to pursue profit without accountability, people have fewer choices, fewer options, and little recourse. We can’t let that happen.”
Doctors for America:
“As doctors, we see how our broken health care system is failing patients and health care providers. Passing and implementing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is an important first step to fixing a broken system, and we must continue to move forward. Repealing the health care reform law will only move our health care system backward – and millions of patients simply can’t afford that. We urge the new Congress to work with patients and providers to improve the health reform law so we can build a health care system that works for everyone.”
National Hispanic Medical Association:
“NHMA supports the Affordable Care Act as it is a step forward in caring for the health of the underserved communities and all Americans. Investing in the health of Americans, our most valuable resource, is sound policy and a wise course of action when so many diseases are preventable and treatable.”
PAT – There’s no point in arguing with a left-wing nitwit whose command of the facts is typified by cherry picking the facts.
- A poll by The Medicus Firm posted in the New England Journal of Medicine‘s Career Center shows that while 62.7 believe health reform is needed that it should be more targeted and not the sweeping method that it was.
- The letter on March 10, 2011 to Pelosi and Boehner from 13 national medical organizations that represent 85,000 physicians deploring the passing of Obamacare. http://www.intrepidresources.com/html/djp_update/coalition_djp.pdf
- A closer review of even those you have listed as supports of Obamacare indicate they support health care reform which should not be a whole sale support of Obamacare. The thought is that something needs to be done, but that Obamacare isn’t it.
- But of course you knew that, but it didn’t fit your leftwing agenda.
- Help me understand why if Obamacare is the greatest thing since sliced bread why Pelosi and Reed find it necessary to seek waivers for businesses in their states? What about the 3-million, to date, these waivers will block at least some if not all of the provisions of Obamacare?
“Even when the president has embraced GOP ideas, he’s found Republicans are willing to reject their own proposals if Obama agrees with them.”
- When the President wraps a “GOP idea” in a Democratic “#2sandwich” you are surprised when someone might pass on that. What short memories you have of when the Democratic congress was doing the same thing to then President Bush. But they were doing it for the American people, right Pat!
-Help me understand why Obama could pass a budget or raise the debt ceiling when the Democrats controlled congress?
I’ve skimmed your leftwing nut take on issues over the years (started when I was a kid) and you are getting more bitter with time. I hope I didn’t make you feel to old with the kid remark. Illinois has always leaned left and your minions over the years have lapped at the bowl of lefty kool-aid and will follow you to the slaughter like the sheep they are.
Pat you should be working for a disposal company. You sure know how to spread the garbage.
Pat you slay me. I never laughed so hard than at your theater of the absurd.
Let me start out by pointing out the basic fact, the democrats lost the house, most of their majority in the senate, and two “slam dunk”n democratic seats to republicans.
Not only did you cherry pick your polls, but NOT ONE of them you listed showed a poll from the citizenship.
All of them were from associations. While they may be made up of people, the numbers of the members vs the voting public at large is at least 1000 to one in my opinion.
Again (since your memory of facts seems jaded at beat) the one fact you cannot argue away, or you even attempted, is it was the obama healthcare plan that lead to the democrats loosing the house, most of the majority in the senate, and two democratic “shoe in” seats.
As usual pat you cannot defend, or even have an adult discussion/discourse, your point without cherry picking minority facts, blatently ignoring comments, or even commenting on the basic theme (republicans not compromising, to refresh your memory) your latest rant is on.
I am sorry to say no matter how much you repeat (in many forms and styles) the same liberal lin….it won’t make it true or cause voters to change.. The rest of the county is not chicago.
Lastly, if you need in your very first sentence to resort to name calling, it is obvious you cannot stand on facts. Says you is best left on the playground.
