By the time you read this, GOP primary and caucus voting might already have begun

It’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with the chain reaction triggered by Florida’s decision to move its Republican primary election up to Jan. 31.

Nevada has responded by moving its primary up to Jan. 14. And New Hampshire, which insists on holding the first primary, might set a date of Dec. 6. Which means the Iowa caucuses, which traditionally pre-date the New Hampshire voting, might be moved up to — when? — soon after Thanksgiving?

The confusion — and the potential political ramifications — are described HERE and HERE and HERE.

  1. This is all getting ridiculous and out of hand. The GOP leaders (RNC Chair Reince Priebus, Boehner, McConnell, and all 8 of the front runners) should organize some kind of meeting with these state primary/caucus organizers and put a stop to all this. It makes the party look disorganized and lacking of cohesiveness. Everyone already knows about the clash between the Republican establishment vs. the tea party, this stuff only makes things worse.
