Gingrich is not really out of the presidential race

Newt Gingrich announced yesterday that he is dropping his quest for the White House, which was a hopeless cause from the get-go anyway. He never actually had any chance of winning the Republican nomination, let alone the presidency itself.

But this doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of the Newster in this year’s race. Indeed not. The nasty things he said about Mitt Romney are numerous, and they’ll lend themselves nicely to campaign attacks on Mr. Etch-A-Sketch.

For example, even before Newt finally folded his tent, the Obama campaign was out with this video:

  1. Yet, Newt will indorse Romney once he gets Romney to agree to pay off his four million dollar campaign debt.

Friends, it is important that everyone knows that although Newt Gingrich does not have the money to keep running a campaign at this time, you can still vote for him. Please do not let money or the Republican establishment or the news media choose your nominee for you.

The Republican establishment keeps pushing moderate candidates, who have no intention of making any bold changes in Washington. Both Democrat and Republican leaders are happy with the status quo. They are set for life with quality living while the rest of us struggle, and our country goes downhill, piling up debt for our children and grandchildren.

Don’t rely entirely on the news media. For yourself, look up what Romney stood for in the past compared to what he says he stands for now. He is not a conservative.

Look up Newt Gingrich’s history. As Speaker of the House, he prepared a Contract with America, and accomplished more for us than anyone has done in years. When Gingrich became Speaker, Congress’ poll ratings were 20%; by the time he left, it was up to 60%. Today Congress is rated at 11%. What does that tell you? While Romney was making himself rich; Newt Gingrich was working to make our country a better place. He sincerely loves our country.

There is no more brilliant man in our time than Speaker Gingrich. He is the only one who can and will turn our country around. For yourself, your children and grandchildren, vote for Newt Gingrich as our nominee for the President of the United States.

  3. Bonnie,
    ROTFLMAO!!!

Funniest thing I have heard all week.

“They are set for life with quality living while the rest of us struggle, and our country goes downhill, piling up debt for our children and grandchildren”

    You think that’s funny?

    You’re a sick man Jerry.

  5. I laugh at

“There is no more brilliant man in our time than Speaker Gingrich. He is the only one who can and will turn our country around.”

The quote you give is just pure BS. If you believe it is true, I feel sorry for you.

    Jerry,

You should read a little bit more about the social upheaval taking place in Europe right now. When people come to rely on government for their existence and happiness and the government promises more than it can financially deliver, the result is inevitable.

We are already on that curve. Unless we can elect politicians who not only realize that, but are willing to make changes now, before they are forced upon us by necessity we are doomed to the same fate.

I suspect that both of us do not want to see our country come to that end.

  7. doc said: “the government promises more than it can financially deliver, the result is inevitable.”

I think cutting taxes for the rich, a free drug program, and putting the military into overdrive fits that criteria.

And don’t give us your tired response that GWB is out. I told you a few days ago that it took Tricky Dick 5 years to get out of Viet Nam.

Or that GWB isn’t running this time. Don’t forget Romney’s campaign says “Take our country back.” To where? GWB’s policies?

The failed policies of GWB continue to weigh on this economy. If you don’t believe that, I will give you a link that shows what is causing the continuing debt. So tell me how this president can change those policies when he has Republicans who refuse to work with him.

Also tell me which programs the president has put in place that fit your comment.

Free drugs are nothing compared to the “free healthcare” liberals think they are going to get with Obamacare.

Make up your mind Tex. It should all be free right? Except it isn’t free and even the rich don’t have enough money to pay for what we have signed ourselves up for.

The programs were put in place decades ago and have been continued, nay escalated, by politicians from both parties for decades. They are all spineless and self serving.

Except now the bill is coming due, or at least we can see the tally that will be due unless we change the trajectory of our spending now.

I like Greek, Italian and Spanish food just fine, but I don’t want to see this country go through what the PIIGS are going to go through for at least the next generation.

Just in case you aren’t paying attention, those austerity measures are going to impact the poor and middle class (who the liberals love to say they care so much about) way more than they are going to impact the rich.
