Wingnut Web site tells of “empty arena” for Obama rally, ignoring crowd of 14,000 people

The right-wing blogosphere is afire today with THIS REPORT from Breitbart.com claiming that President Obama launched his re-election campaign yesterday in an “empty arena” on the campus of Ohio State University.

But the Breitbart claim is defty refuted HERE and by this video:

15k is still 12k more than Romney has ever had at one of his events. So what’s your point?

  2. Tim May: The crowd of 35,000 at Ohio State was not at the same indoor arena where Obama appeared this past Saturday. It was outside on the campus Oval.

Moreover, the event was not “when Obama was fresh and new.” It was a rally for Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland, and it took place a year and a half ago.

  3. This is funny because when the videographer pans the arena & ends up on the empty areas he quickly moves backward. Why not show a 360 degree video of the arena if it really was full? Oh, that’s right, because it wasn’t………..

  4. JJJ: Give it up. Your right-wing friends at Breitbart.com said the place was “empty.” In truth, it was anything but empty.

  5. By the way, we all seem to have forgotten that it was just 10 or 12 weeks ago that Mitt Romney held a campaign event in a stadium that was, in fact, about 99 percent empty.
