Prominent conservative pundit says Romney shows contempt for tens of millions who intend to vote for him

Hmmm. It seems that Bill Kristol (above),  he of impeccable conservative credentials, is DISAPPOINTED with Mitt Romney’s disparagement of nearly half the American populace:

It’s worth recalling that a good chunk of the 47 percent who don’t pay income taxes are Romney supporters—especially of course seniors (who might well “believe they are entitled to heath care,” a position Romney agrees with), as well as many lower-income Americans (including men and women serving in the military) who think conservative policies are better for the country even if they’re not getting a tax cut under the Romney plan. So Romney seems to have contempt not just for the Democrats who oppose him, but for tens of millions who intend to vote for him.

It remains important for the country that Romney wins in November (unless he chooses to step down and we get the Ryan-Rubio ticket we deserve!). But that shouldn’t blind us to the fact that Romney’s comments, like those of Obama four years ago, are stupid and arrogant.

  1. “Critical audio gap in “complete” Romney tape released by Mother Jones (Update – Corn responds, 1-2 minutes missing)”

Many folks consider Kristol a RINO and label him as a neoconservative.

I guess he is “impeccable ” when the left wants to quote him.

  2. wilson: Neo-conservatives are not RINOs.

Dick Cheney, for example, is a neo-con.

  3. Pat remember this famous quote of yours?

    “Neoconservative warmonger Bill Kristol”
“Kristol is perhaps most famous for peddling falsehoods about Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction to justify a stupid war.”
So I am guessing since you didn’t say Kristol was a neo-conservative this time around he must be a RINO too otherwise you wouldn’t have used Cheney to correct me.

  4. Give it up, wilson. Nothing in this latest comment from you refutes the fact that Kristol is NOT a RINO.

  5. Well you didn’t say he wasn’t, you just said that Cheney was a neo-con.
So you support this warmonger Kristol?

  6. wilson: Are you really that dumb?

What makes you think I support Kristol? He’s a conservative, so of course I don’t support him.

This post is strictly about Kristol’s take on Romney’s tirade against the 47 percent. I frequently quote conservatives. This is nothing new.

Your inability to grasp even simple concepts is truly astonishing.

  7. Oh, and as for the so-called missing portion of the Romney video, only the wackiest of wingnuts think that’s part of some liberal conspiracy.

You don’t hear the Romney campaign making a fuss about that. You don’t hear mainstream conservatives making a fuss either.

It’s a big deal only to those on the underbelly of the right-wing.
