    If this map holds true, but IA (6 electoral votes) flips red, the final tally would be 269 to 269. Wouldn’t that be something?

    I just looked it up. In the event of a tie, and assuming all the delegates don’t do something weird when they officially cast their vote on December 17, the the next Congress chooses the next President and VP on Jan 6, 2013. The House chooses President, Senate chooses VP.

    So its possible that Romney could be the next President, while Joe Biden remains VP.
