CNN’s post-debate poll was better than the one from CBS

In more ways than one, this is a no-brainer:

The CNN poll after last night’s debate measured reactions of REGISTERED VOTERS IN GENERAL.

The CBS poll, by contrast, covered only UNCOMMITTED VOTERS.

I’m sorry, but any group of prospective voters who haven’t yet made up their minds about this presidential race strikes me as a gang of relative dimwits.

I would love to hear what these folks think of certain other matters — like whether the moon is made of green cheese, or how big, heavy airplanes manage to get off the ground.

  1. Here is the most interesting information from that poll.

“Mitt Romney was seen as better able to handle the economy, taxes, and the budget deficit among the debate audience, but it seems that issues were trumped, or at least blunted, by intangibles, including the expectations game,” says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

“Style over substance” should be Obama’s campaign slogan.
