Here’s a trailer for TV movie about killing of Bin Laden

A few weeks ago, I told you HERE about the controversy over the scheduled telecast of a movie about the killing of Osama bin Laden.

The flick will run on the National Geographic Channel two days before next month’s presidential election.

Here’s a trailer for the film:

  1. Bound to incite some protests in Cairo.

  2. Looks very cool, I’ll definitely check it out. Vanity Fair also posted an excellent summary of the preparation, decisions, and details of the raid. Highly recommended.

    Couple of quick highlights:
    – The choice came down to an airstrike, drone attack, or special forces engagement. They ruled out the CIA agents and went with Seal Team 6.

    – The intelligence team said they were more confident about Iraq having WMD’s than Osama Bin Laden hanging out in that fort in Abbottabad. In the end it came down to a 50-50 chance that it was him and the decision fell upon the President and he made the right call.

    – Biden originally didn’t want to deploy the special ops for fear that it could hurt Obama’s reelection chances.

    – Admiral Bill McRaven sounds like a major bad-ass. Glad he’s on our side.

  3. That reminds me, Vanity Fair is certainly a left-leaning mag, and I found their coverage of the intelligence operations quite insightful. Everyone should check it out. It should also help put to rest all those stupid liberals who still think that “Bush Lied” about WMD’s.

  4. Bush admitted there were no WMD’s.

  5. Steverino – We all know that. The point is there are still people that think Bush purposely lied about WMD’s as an excuse to attack Iraq. The truth is that he honestly thought they were there. Its the same opinion shared by everyone with access to the same intelligence information, including all the top Democrats with security clearance and many allied world leaders.
