  1. Cheney has lots of blood on his hand and it’s not from rainbow trout.

  2. Brian Opsahl

I beleive this man is evil, He is responsible for the deaths of several thousand of our brave fighting men he also has the blood of thousands of Iraqs. All based on what are now proven lies from his own intellagence BS…ask Collin Powell he quit because of it..!

Brian Opsahl – I swear, trying to teach you something is like trying to teach a fish how to drive a car. But I’ll try again anyway.

    1. 53% of Democrats voted for the Iraq war
    2. Democrats had access to the same intelligence information. They believed it. The spoke out in favor of it.
    3. Ours allies, including Britain, France, Germany, each with their own sources, also agreed with the Bush and Cheney assessment.

    Therefore, its not a lie.

    I repeat. Not. A Lie.

    One more time.

    Not.

    a.

    Lie.

We dictate our actions based upon what we know at the time. Sometimes what we know turns out to be wrong in the future. That doesn’t make us a liar the first time around.

    Re-read the last sentence.

    Read it again.

    Read it a 3rd time.

Among many new positive things, part of the new Iraqi Constitution allowed Iraqi women the right to vote for the first time.

Why do Steverino and Brian Opsahl hate Iraqi women?

  5. Neftali: Your claim that 53 percent of Democrats voted for the Iraq war is wrong. In fact, 57 percent of the Democrats in the two houses of Congress voted against it, while 97 percent of the Republicans voted for it.

  6. Neftali – It is estimated that over 2 million women are now head of the household as a result of the war. Oh boy they can now vote. BTW don’t forget the million or so orphans walking the streets. Perhaps you’ll want to reconsider calling it a just and noble cause.

It is a fact that Chenny said on TV that we (he) had intell, that M,Atta was meeting with Iraqi intell, officer in Paris…That is a bald face lie that….Collin Powell quit after that he was so pissed off at that huge lie…Fact
Your idiotic conclusions about about me and Iraqi Women can only be met with like wise non sense. Your hatred for Americas poor is clear because you lick the boots of those rich Republicans you love so much….idiot..!!

Nef: When you find those weapons of mass desrtuction that took us into the killing fields, not only let me know but if you could let the rest of the world know also…Thanks
Because of your support for Republicans and they vote against any guns laws …according to your logic you don’t care about all those gang memebers being murdered so you now support those killings…?

  9. Bush Derangement Syndrome is a terrible thing.

Maybe we should host a telethon?

  10. exdoc, the CDC actually labels it Bush Awareness Syndrome, and let’s hope it continues to infect us as another lame Shrub positions himself to ravage our country. I’d prefer Jenna over the unprincipled weathervane Jeb.

Brian – I believe the incident you are referring to alleged to happen in Prague, not Paris. I know simple minded people like you think these foreign cities are all the same, but I assure you they reside in two completely different countries. (France and Czech Republic)

On September 10, 2006, Cheney responded to questions from Tim Russert about Atta in Prague on Meet the Press:

MR. RUSSERT: Any suggestion there was a meeting with Mohamed Atta, one of the hijackers, with Iraqi officials?

VICE PRES. CHENEY: No. The sequence, Tim, was, when you and I talked that morning, we had not received any reporting with respect to Mohamed Atta going to Prague. Just a few days after you and I did that show, the CIA, CIA produced an intelligence report from the Czech Intelligence Service that said Mohammad Atta, leader of the hijackers, had been in Prague in April of ‘01 and had met with the senior Iraqi intelligence official in Prague. That was the first report we had that he’d been to Prague and met with Iraqis. Later on, some period of time after that, the CIA produced another report based on a photographer—on a photograph that was taken in Prague of a man they claim 70 percent probability was Mohammad Atta on another occasion. This was the reporting we received from the CIA when I responded to your question and said it had been pretty well confirmed that he’d been in Prague. The—later on, they were unable to confirm it. Later on, they backed off of it.

But what I told you was exactly what we were receiving at the time. It never said, and I don’t believe I ever said, specifically, that it linked the Iraqis to 9/11. It specifically said he had been in Prague, Mohamed Atta had been in Prague and we didn’t know…

MR. RUSSERT: And the meeting with Atta did not occur?

VICE PRES. CHENEY: We don’t know. I mean, we’ve never been able to, to, to link it, and the FBI and CIA have worked it aggressively. I would say, at this point, nobody has been able to confirm..

    So again…no lies.

  12. Brian Opsahl

I have seen the clip of Chenny saying (we have proff atta meet Iraq intell…your correct it was Prague…but wrong on everything else…he said it on TV !!
Collin Powell quit because of the BS …Fact

  13. Brian Opsahl: By the way, I banned Sam Deans from this blog last night and deleted all of his comments.

My decision was based on two factors:

    1. He repeatedly ignored my warnings against shouting (that is, capitalizing certain words and phrases), which is not allowed here.

    2. But more to the point, I came to the conclusion, as I told him, that he is a dangerously kooky person.

Not only did he approvingly declare that “there are MILLIONS of American citizens who have NO PROBLEM shooting at the government if they try to take their guns away…” and that he was “willing to die” in a fight against any enfringement on his Second Amendment rights as he intreprets them, but he also said in another forum that he thinks the Secret Service should not protect the president. He prefers that the president carry his own gun to ward off would-be assassins.

I could no longer tolerate someone who approves of shooting at government officials and who wishes that the president of the United States was not protected by the Secret Service.

So Sam’s brief but prolific career as an Applesauce commenter (22 submissions on one thread) has ended.

Incidentally, the deletion of his comments was necessary to prevent the publication of any further submissions while I’m away from the store. The software here is such that comments from previous contributors are automatically published unless they include more than one link. Newcomers and commenters who include more than one link have to await approval.
