Self-righteous Michele Bachmann ignores biblical admonition against bearing false witness

Republicans_Conservatives_CPAC_2013_0673f

At last week’s Conservative Political Action Conference, Michele Bachmann said this:

Here’s the truth that the president won’t tell you. Of every dollar that you hold in your hands, 70 cents of that dollar that’s supposed to go to the poor doesn’t. It actually goes to benefit the bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. — 70 cents on the dollar. That’s how the president’s caring works in practice. So $3 in food stamps for the needy, $7 in salaries and pensions for the bureaucrats who are supposed to be taking care of the poor. So with all due respect, I ask you, how does this show that our president cares about the poor?

Glenn Kessler, the fact-checker at the Washington Post, SAYS Bachmann “went completely off the rails” with those remarks and gives her statement Four Pinocchios for dishonesty.

  1. What CCRAP needs is a good old cat fight between Palin and Bachmann (either Michele or Marcus).

  2. C’mon Pat. What did you expect, she’s a politician. They are all varying degrees of slime.

Harry Reid proves again why he is not a true leader, he is only another slimeball. Maybe even the King of them all.

    http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2013/03/harry-reid-politicizes-marine-accident.php

When Harry Reid told reporters he had heard a rumor that Mitt Romney didn’t pay any taxes, I thought he had sunk as low as a politician possibly can. But I was wrong. Today, Reid outdid himself. He politicized the tragic death of seven Marines in a mortar accident by linking the accident to the sequester:

Details are emerging. We really don’t know, the area has been blocked off. As I indicated, it was quite a big explosion. … It’s very important we continue training our military, so important. But one of the things in sequester is we cut back in training and maintenance. That’s the way sequester was written. Now, the bill that’s on the floor, we hope to pass today helps that a little bit. … This sequester should go away. We have cut already huge amounts of money in deficit reduction. It’s just not appropriate, Mr. President, that our military can’t train and do the maintenance necessary.

So is Reid trying to claim that the sequester caused the accident? A mortar shell exploded; the cause is not yet known. But to attribute the explosion to the sequester would be insane. Or is Reid not actually claiming that the sequester was responsible for the fatal accident, but just…linking the two? It is hard to tell, but that interpretation would be consistent with Reid’s sliminess.

We always knew that over the coming months, the Democrats will try to blame anything bad that happens–airport delays, no more White House tours, canceling the Easter Egg roll–on the sequester, a measly 2% reduction in the growth of federal spending. Is Reid’s slander so over the top that it will cause public revulsion and discredit the Democrats’ whining? It should, but it probably won’t.

  3. doc: You are so deluded!

Harry Reid wrongly blames the sequester for the tragedy in Nevada, and you say Democrats in general will similarly lay false blame for “anything bad that happens.”

And yet you rarely, if ever, have taken issue with the pathological inclination among right-wing wackos to blame Obama for absolutely every unfortunate occurrence, whether real or imagined.

    You’re a world-class hypocrite, doc.

Presenting facts will only confuse the hypocrits Pat..!!

  5. Uh, actually that was the guy in the link who said that Pat.

If I am a world class hypocrite, then so are you and Bachmann and Reid and all of the slimeball politicians.

If I have earned that moniker, then it is only because I have been hanging out here with the likes of you my friend.

And you failed to address the ultimate hypocrisy of our supposed leader in the Senate Mr. Reid. The man who has called for MORE cuts in defense is suddenly now blaming the sequester cuts in defense for this tragedy?

He is either and idiot, evil or both. Yet again, I am left to ponder the foolishness of anyone who would hope the government could effectively address any of our most serious problems.

    http://factcheck.org/2013/02/reid-twice-wrong-on-2-6-trillion-cuts/

Reid: “I repeat: $2.6 trillion already, all coming from non-defense. If we’re going to have a sequester, defense is going to have to do their share.”

I dont know why but she creeps me out…always has…maybe it’s her very scary eyes..lol

You left wing nuts are just something else. Do you want to know WHY the right blames Obama for things like Benghazi? It’s because he’s the POTUS. If the situation had arisen when Bush was president, he’d have the blame too. DUH!!!!!!!! It’s Obama’s responsibility to KNOW what the hell is going on when he is in charge. When he ducked out to go to bed when the 3 a.m. call came (remember that famous line by the other liar, Hillary?), no one was there to do anything and 4 Americans died for nothing… nothing. Obama should be ashamed of himself enough to resign. And now we have an IRS fiasco equal to that which caused Nixon to get kicked out of office. What do you bet Obama will slither away from this one because of nutballs like you guys, always coming to his rescue no matter what the cause? He needs to be held accountable this time. Grow up and pull your heads out of the sand.
