Of all the gibberish ever uttered by Sarah Palin, the former half-term governor of Alaska, nothing is more nonsensical than her response of a few weeks ago to a question of what her alternative to Obamacare would be.

Said Palin:

The plan is to allow those things that had been proposed over many years to reform a health-care system in America that certainly does need more help so that there’s more competition, there’s less tort reform threat, there’s less trajectory of the cost increases, and those plans have been proposed over and over again.

There’s more about all of this HERE.

And to think at one time she was vying for that heartbeat away thing.

There have been many options offered by conservatives … not a one size fits all monstrosity mandated by government and forced on every citizen … but a series of market reforms to increase competition and drive down costs. US healthcare and insurance has always been over-regulated at the state level …. time to throw the bureaucratic shackels off and promote a series of oft touted reforms espoused repeatedly by conservatives but always opposed by progressives whose objective is control of people’s lives Vs meaningful reforms that will work and improve citizens lives.

    • Yeah right. We saw how the market based unrestrained system worked in the healthcare industry after Reagan launched his de-regulation platform. Higher and higher cost to consumers with higher and higher profits and pay to the healthcare CEOs. The healthcare industry was working just fine as the old model of NFP status.

And then we saw that idiot Palin go into her death panel schpeels when it is the insurance companies that are acting like death panels by denying to pay for services and making healthcare insurance unaffordable for many.
