This is a blog about a blog. Below is a blog post from Julie Palkowski, District 205′s Fine Arts “go to” person. Her official title is “Vice Principal”.
Tomorrow night, March 29, is Part 2 of “Creative Conversations”. It is an update on District 205′s plans for the arts. There is good and exciting news. That is hard to come by in the midst of a teacher’s strike. Dr. Willis will be there, and I’m guessing the cameras will be there too. They seem to be following him everywhere he goes lately.
Wear something bright and shiny, so friends will spot you when the camera scans the crowd.

Creative Conversations: Update on the Arts in District 205
The Rockford Public School District #205 (RPS) in collaboration with the Rockford Area Arts Council, Rockford Art Museum, and Rockford Symphony Orchestra will be hosting a follow-up creative public conversation about the arts.
The focus of this session will be a short overview of the Fine Arts Articulation Committee’s report, current progress in the district arts programming and partnership initiatives, followed by an opportunity for focused community discussion.
Special Guests will include Superintendent Robert Willis, Assistant Superintendent for Learning, Martha Hayes, and Anne O’Keefe, President of the Rockford Area Arts Council.
We are looking forward to hearing your thoughts about Rockford arts education.
If you are not able to attend, but still wish to offer your comments, an online survey will be available on the Fine Arts Articulation Blog on March 30, 2012.
This is located online at: http://blogs.rps205.com/FineArts/default.aspx.
Thank you for your continued support of the arts.
