We all have moral weaknesses.
LT’s is causing some of us to think twice about our own vices with a billboard outside the bar and grill on Alpine Road in Rockford.
Ah, but wait, the bar’s aim really isn’t to get us into self-examination. It’s to get you into the place Friday night to see rapper Vanilla Ice (”Ice Ice Baby”) perform.

My colleague at the paper, movie man Will Pfeifer, told me today he saw V-ICE on LT’s billboard.

Jen: I thought I’d answered your question yesterday, but being new to this blogging thing, my response didn’t make it online and I didn’t check. So, here we go again. It’s Gary Coleman.

In 1989, Gary Coleman sued his parents and his former manager over misappropriation of his trust fund. Although he was awarded over $1,000,000 in the decision, he filed for bankruptcy in 1999. Coleman was charged with assault in 1998 after he punched a woman while he was working as a security guard at a shopping mall. In 2001, Coleman (still working as a security guard) was videotaped trying to stop a vehicle from entering the mall. The driver ridiculed him, and released the tape to be broadcast on numerous television shows. In 2007, Coleman was cited for disorderly conduct in Provo, Utah for having a “heated discussion” with a woman.

Thanks Geo. It’s kinda sad what happened to all those different strokes kids, don’t you think? Didn’t one of them die?

Jen: from wikipedia.com: Dana Plato went on to pose for Playboy, and also appeared in soft core pornography. She was later arrested twice (once for armed robbery, again for forging a prescription for Valium). She died of a drug overdose in 1999 at the age of 34.
