As we watched and listened to the great orator Barack Obama live on CNN last night speaking after he clinched the Democratic presidential nomination, my son was so taken with him, his speech and his promising future that he proclaimed: “I’ve found my new Brett Favre!” (APObama photo, gbpackernation.blogspot.com for Favre photo)

Julie: When you say “I know Bret Favre.” Do you mean personally? If so, please do tell more.
My friend responded via email to my post, saying that while she, too, is an Obama supporter, she said we’ll have to wait and see if Obama can take the hits Brett did and come up smiling.

You actually consumed bandwidth by posting an item drawing a comparison based on some off-hand remark between Sen Obama and…Brett Favre?
Can I just ask…whattheheck? What does this have to do with….anything?

hokumboy: if you were referring to the missing t in your “Who’s Bret Favre?” post, then is say, “good catch.”
Jen Sensible: Do you have heroes? How do you form impressions of them? Do you make comparisons between people? That’s the point, or a point.
I see you’re posting at just after midnight. Maybe you should sleep off your misplaced incredulity.
