these comments are completely useless unless they are
substantiated in some way. For example, I’ve never got an oil change at 3,000 miles. I generally push it to 5 or 6,000 miles. But my cars do not seem to last as long as others.
2) i get a higher-quality oil, or so my mechanic tells me. Therefore,
I still change my oil at 3,000 miles and wonder why am I paying for
engine parts all of the time. My mechanic says that it is better this way.

How in the world does an oil change every 7,000 miles cost more than a 3,000 mile change?
