KFC recipe top secret but let’s ask local restauranteurs

Colonel Sanders’ secret recipe is scheduled to be relocated temporarily on Tuesday, so security can be revamped around the sheet of paper. It will be removed from KFC’s corporate offices for the first time in years, according to this story in the Chicago Tribune. ![]()
“So important is the 68-year-old concoction that coats the chain’s Original Recipe chicken that only two company executives at any time have access to it. The company refuses to release their name or title, and it uses multiple suppliers who produce and blend the ingredients but know only a part of the entire contents.”
I know big chains are very protective of their recipes, but I’m wondering if local restauranteurs are so secretive.
Tell you what, if you tell me what dish you’ve had at a LOCAL restaurant that you’d like to try to recreate at home, I’ll try to get the recipe for you.
Can’t promise that I’ll get it for you, but I’ll try.
I’m going to ask for the recipe for Caffe Greco’s special salad. If I get it, I’ll share it with you.
