The Girl Scouts are rebranding, and this msnbc.com story tells all about it, everything from de-emphasing getting badges to emphasizing blogging.
I was a Girl Scout and mostly liked the camping opportunities, which included getting in a fun-filled food fight with mashed potatoes during one overnight. I still remember some of the songs I learned: “Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree.” And “Don’t ever laugh when a hearse goes by.” Oh, yeah. And the cookie sales competitions. And generally, the good works we did.
