Twinkle, twinkle little star, look how clean my two hands are

Add comment May 4th, 2009

You know how it is when you get a tune stuck in your head.

My solution to the swine flu outbreak is to play these twists on nursery rhymes on public address systems at employers and schools nationwide, a la, Big Brother-is-watching-you style, or more aptly, Nagging-Mom/Grandma-is-watching-you style:

starimages.jpg

1) “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”

Twinkle, twinkle little star, look how clean my two hands are,

Soap and water, wash and scrub,

Get those germs off, rub-a-dub,

Twinkle, twinkle little star,

Look how clean my two hands are.

2) (To, “Row, Row, Row Your Boat”)

Wash, wash, wash your hands

play our handy game

rub ad scrub, scrub and rub

Germs go down the drain.

(repeat)

Of course, for you brainiacs, here’s a doctor’s commentary on cnn.com that explains why washing your hands is the big answer to fighting swine and other flu viruses.
