It can be tough to process all this conflicting information. We have to remember that it's okay to listen to those "friends" but also to recognize that they will not live with the results of their suggestions. However you the owner of the business wil in fact live with the results so be sure to process all that advice and then do what YOU decide is correct and what YOU decide you can live with, right or wrong!
