Rockford Native Places in FastPitch Competition #2 In Rock/Walworth Counties

Rockford native, Paul Niedermann took third place this week at the Rock/Walworth County FastPitch Competition (RWCFP). The RWCFP is the second of three competitions slated for 2012 to assist entrepreneurs with perfecting their business pitch to potentially win a cash prize, and connect with investors and allies that can assist with growing their businesses or moving a great idea to the next step.

The first place winners were Fort Atkinson natives’, Brennon Garthwait and David Hartwig of Renwig Custom with a prototype of a robotically controlled guitar amplifier. They took top honors, beating out six other finalists with their product pitch to win a $5,000 prize.Henry Schwartz, who heads Mob Craft Brewery came in second. Mob Craft is an upstart microbrewery that allows its customers to decide what types of beers the company brews.

  1. Sorry to change the subject, but I wanted to remind your readers that PACKEXPO is coming to McCormick Place on October 28-31, 2012. It is a massive show, filling the North, South, and Lakeside sections with anything and everything related to processing and packaging products of many kinds.
    There will be quite a few Rockford-area businesses represented there.

  2. Thanks for the reminder. I’ve attended these in past years and it is quite a display of technology spread out in the massive facilities at McCormick Place.
