STEM Exhibits Now featured at Discovery Center Museum

Discovery Center has just opened two new exhibitions relating to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).

Figure it Out! opened in September and Simple Machines opened November 20th. Figure it Out consists of nine engaging activity centers where kids are encouraged to flip, fold, and figure out patterns and relationships while exploring shapes and symmetry, sequences, shadows and transformations.

Simple Machines is transformed with all new exhibits that include the lever, wheel and axle, pulley, screw, wedge, and inclined plane.

Developed specifically for elementary through middle school aged children, the exhibition provides hands-on activities surrounded by a collection of related objects and images, from blueprints and telescope lenses, to sneakers and rugs.

These exhibits will be a good introduction the the world of science, engineering, math and technology which will complement the academic thrust being implemented in our regional high schools.

A must see for your youngsters!
