Discovery Center’s Engineers Day Draws Increased Attendance

Driving into the Discovery Center parking lot this past Saturday wasn’t as easy as in the past. It was packed!  It was Discover Engineering day that kicks off Engineers Week being held this week.

Attendance was 20% increase over 2012′s event at more than 1,200 children, scouts and parents.  Inside the museum, the walkway leading to the Discovery Room and Kresge Hall was full of exhibits like the Rockford Robot League, the four area robotics teams, demo of Project Lead the Way from Hononegah High and 14 other exhibits; all showing the visitors various examples of what science, physics and engineering can produce.
