Adults Only: Let’s Get Small; Really Small

Grownups (21 and older), release your inner child and experience Discovery Center’s fun exhibits – without the kids – on Friday, April 26 from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.  Explore the world of the cutting edge science of nanoscale forces.

The theme for the event is “Nano Night: Let’s Get Small. Really Small.” Learn the ABC’s of nanotechnology with Dr. George Lisensky from Beloit College. Enjoy a live science demonstration by MacroMan and NanoGirl and take part in a variety of nanoscience-related activities.

Many scientists and engineers believe that advances in nanotechnology have the potential to bolster the U.S. economy with innovations providing clean, secure, affordable energy, techniques to clean up hazardous chemicals in the environment, and medical devices and drugs to detect and treat diseases more effectively and with fewer side effects.
