we have written on this blog about the quadrupled traffic received on rrstar.com after the boone county tornado.
just an update: we also sold a few thousand extra newspapers the day after (jan. 8). these are the kinds of things people save for memories. i know i tucked away my copies.

i got a google alert on this article about how the media industry is handling story comments. basically, the headline is that most newspapers allow them, but they differ on how they regulate/moderate them. some require registration. some only post those approved by humans, which can be a ton of work.
we hope to have comments restored on stories here, with registration.
