Bricks & Clicks
The Rockford Register Star is more than a newspaper: the ink on print or the “bricks” in the News Tower. We’re a multimedia news and information company: the “clicks” on our Web site and the TV clips on WREX-13. This blog explains our fast-changing media environment and interacts with our readers to show how and why we do what we do.

Women are social, after all

July 23rd, 2009 at 08:05am Jennie Pollock

First the Rockford Register Star started a Facebook fan page. Now I’ve got one going for Rockford Woman, and we’re just shy of 250 fans already.

Watch for links to “What you need to know,” editors’ news picks like this from July 22, as well as items of interest to women in the Rock River Valley.

You can also follow Rockford Woman on Twitter. And rrstar.com is stepping up its tweeting, too.

Why are we doing this? It’s just one more way to reach you and make it easier for you to get your news and information, since a growing number of you spend time on social media.
