Starting Sunday, Life&Style will get a little greener.
Inside, you’ll find a new weekly Go Green page devoted to local and national news, trends, events and advice that will help you be more Earth-friendly.
It also will include excerpts from my Go Green blog, which launched last May. If you have any questions, call Life&Style editor Lisa Glowinski at 815-987-1379.
Of course, remember to recycle your newspaper when you’re done!

sunday life&style, that is.
ever since we launched the monday-saturday GO section two years ago, the life&style section went from seven days a week to one.
this weekend, we’re unveiling a new look for the page: more magazine-like, with shorter stories on topics readers have told us they like: family, home/garden, travel, tech, relationships, food, movies, music, books and fashion.
we’ll also have a health item from healthyrockford.com, which launches next month, and a short excerpt from rockford woman magazine.
maybe the highest profile change is moving elizabeth davies’ generation x/mommy column from thursday’s people section.
some things have moved: will pfeifer’s dvd column about older releases can be found in the friday go section. the “go way ahead” planner can be found in saturday go.
on a final note: remember when i asked for your mom/dad/grandma/grandpa moments and photos? we’ll put them in sunday life&style. so send them in to me at jpollock@rrstar.com!

so don’t say you we’re reminded (i have to still buy my gifts — eek!).
in that spirit, i thought i’d tell you that we plan to kick off a new feature in sunday life&style called “mom moments.” we want you to send your pictures and quotes from the things your kids did or the things you did as a parent that made you smile or laugh. think of the stuff you see in parenting mags or reader’s digest.
we also want “dad moments,” since the person who came up with this idea was a father who was laughing about telling his son about the birds and the bees. and i bet we’d get a lot of “grandma moments” and maybe even “grandpa moments.”
for now, send them to me at jpollock@rrstar.com if you have ‘em. of course, i have to include the standard language…..
