- Identify your work duties – If your tasks are too much for you to handle, ask for some additional help. If you would like more responsibility, ask for it.
- Write down a list of things you really love about work, and look at it throughout the day.
- Request a transfer.
- Take time off – Whether it’s a mini vacation or a long vacation, maybe all you need is a little time to get away and recharge your batteries!
Remember- the best way to deal with any kind of issue at work always comes down to COMMUNICATION. If you are struggling, communicate your feelings to your boss.  They will be able to help you decide what is best for you.

Are you feeling emotionally, mentally, and physically drained at work? You might be experiencing job burnout! Everyone has their share of rough days at work, but when those few rough days turn into every day, something needs to be done to change the situation. No one should let their work get to a point where it starts to affect their health. Here are some signs of burnout:
- Feeling hopeless             Â
- Lack of motivation
- Cynicism                              Â
- Irritability
- Frustration                            Â
- Isolation

Stress at work seems to be a very natural thing. There are too many tasks to complete and not enough time, or maybe it is difficult to deal with clients, customers, or co-workers. Stress can begin to affect your performance and productivity, and eventually, start affecting life outside of work. Here are just a few examples of ways to deal with stress at work:
Keep the lines of communications open – Talk to your supervisor/boss. They might be able to help you work through some ways to help you de-stress, or have some ways to help you get more organized.Â
Manage Your Time – Make a list and prioritize the tasks that need to be completed and stay organized. When you have completed your goals, be sure to mark it off, and move on to the next task.Â
Keep work and home separate – Leave your work at work! Even if you work at home, make sure to keep your personal life and your work life separate. Â
Enough is Enough – Know when you have reached the point when you cannot take it anymore. If work is really just too much for you to handle anymore and it is affecting your health and happiness, maybe it is time to make a change or re-evaluate the situation.

- Family life: spouse, children, significant other, parents, friends
- Home life: grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning, shoveling
- Work life: 8-10 hours
- Volunteer activities for self, work, or family
- Health, exercise, school, and future planning
If you are like me, you touch on each of those topics multiple times a day in your waking hours. We spend many hours a day managing our work/life balance. Some days fly by at a speed of light and often we just go through the motions. Â
Do you challenge yourself to get through each day with your list of things to do and finish them all? It never quite happens that way for me- things get moved to the list for tomorrow, then new things get added to the list within the first few hours of the next day.Â
If you have a great tip or method to stay on top of things or a resource that makes your life easier, please share it with the rest of us!
