Rep. Eric Cantor of Virginia, the House majority leader, has backtracked from his use of the word “mob” to describe the 99 percent movement, also called “Occupy Wall Street” and other cities, including Rockford.
As the movement has grown, Cantor has changed his tune. He said on Fox News Sunday today that the Occupiers are expressing legitimate concerns about the lack of jobs. This indicates the GOP leaders are reading polls that say the Occupiers are gaining ground in the public opinion contest.
Here’s an excerpt from the Financial Times:
“A top Republican in Washington dramatically altered his stance on protesters involved in Occupy Wall Street just one week after comparing the movement to “angry mobs”. Eric Cantor, the Republican majority leader in the House of Representatives, told Fox News on Sunday that Republicans agreed there was “too much” income disparity in the country. “More important than my use of the word [‘mobs’] is that there is a growing frustration out there across the country and it is warranted. Too many people are out of work,” he said.

Very nice of Rep Cantor to notice that America has an employment crisis.
Did he just figure this out?
What does he and his party propose to quickly reverse this, other than the same tired Milton Friedman economic rhetoric that has miserably failed?
As opposed to the highly successful Obama-Liberal/Socialist policies that have worked such wonders these past three years, and only increased the debt a couple of trillion dollars? (sarcasm off)
