Tween Brands going downscale at CherryVale
August 13th, 2008 at 03:03pm Alex Gary
Tween Brands Inc. announced Tuesday it will convert its approximately 560 Limited Too stores in the United States to its more “value-oriented” Justice brand.
The company, based in New Albany, Ohio, will close 26 Limited Too stores outright and monitor 90 additional stores to see if they would do better as free-standing Justice brand stores. The company plans to have no more Limited Too stores by the end of first quarter 2009.
Both stores sell fashion basics and lifestyle items to 7-14-year-old girls. There is one Limited Too stores in the Rock River Valley. It is located at CherryVale Mall. It is unclear where the CherryVale store fits in Tween Brands’ plans.
Tween Brands said in a news release that its 310 Justice stores have averaged double-digit percentage increases in same store sales over the past four years.
